Note to Readers: About “みのなるき”
This picture book shows how a tree grows, step by step.
Each page introduces a new stage—from sprouting to blooming fruit.
All words are written in hiragana, making it easy for young learners to recognize Japanese characters.
🌱 In Japanese, even a single sound like “me”, “ha”, “ki”, or “mi” can carry a full meaning.
This book simply introduces those one-sound words through the life of a tree.
Here’s how the text looks when written with kanji:
- め が でた:芽 が 出た(me ga deta)
- は が でた:葉 が 出た (ha ga deta)
- き が はえた:木 が 生えた(ki ga haeta)
- み が なった:実 が なった(mi ga natta)
これは (kore wa)
み/の/なる/き:実/の/なる/木(mi no naru ki)
